Setting your Thanksgiving table can feel overwhelming especially since we’re down to 10 days before we’ll gather with family and friends and give thanks. Our lead designer, Hilary, knows how to throw a party and has some really practical advice for how to set a simple and beautiful table that will provide the perfect backdrop for your family’s celebration.

It’s easy to think more is more, but less is more when it comes to your tablescape. You want to provide a pretty, but uncluttered space for your guests to mingle and hopefully linger at. You can do this by getting resourceful and using what you have before you go out and buy the pieces you need to provide the style, color and texture you’re going for. There just might be the perfect ceramic vase for fresh flowers, white candles and wooden cake stands hidden in your storage cabinets or currently in use around your home. Be creative with what you already have!

Also, don’t be afraid to mix contrasting colors like black dishware and white linens or black silverware and white plates. You just can’t go wrong when you stick to the basics especially when you add a pop of color.
